“You abide by a set of unwritten rules.” Problem one: unwritten rules exist only in one’s own head, so they don’t exist between parties. Like at all.

“Until, finally, she realizes that he CAN’T grant her her sovereignty! ONLY she can own it and practice it herself.” Yay.

“Things get worse and worse; he keeps doubling down on the righteousness of his position.” Nope. Don’t do that. I’m not about right and wrong; heck, I don’t believe in duality let alone right and wrong - I’m a casuist.

“As the story develops, she continues to want [sovereignty]—while expecting Geranium to deliver it, within the small world of their marriage and home.” I have ZERO ability to deliver “sovereignty” to you. Only you have that power, from day one to day dead. Conflating, you probably want control over my behavior.

“But wait, brain—all those things did happen! Which means that they definitely should have.” They just happened. (Should/shouldn’t doesn’t factor in; never do, actually.)

Yup. As far as I know. No complaints in three years. And I'm not the only one. I know other people who have done the same thing.

Also: I have not confirmed the healing via X-ray. When I requested an appointment (at the office of a third dentist) just to get that tooth X-rayed, I was refused.

Probably need to get the X-rays at a dentist that probably showed it in the first place. But oh those evil dentists...

I had a similar experience as Helen. Had painful cavities that showed up on X-rays. Used oil-pulling & diet changes only - no dental work. Cavities healed. I did get a followup X-ray, and it revealed the cavities were gone, teeth healed. There's a lot of evidence that teeth can be healed by oil pulling, dietary changes, and similar methods. It's an interesting research rabbit hole you can follow on Google & Google Scholar.

Indeed! One interesting thing that I discovered in my research is that dentistry in the U.S. developed separately from the rest of the medical field. The first dentists were just dudes who pulled teeth. Today's dentists are known as Doctors of Dental Surgery. They specialize in removal, not healing. Whereas doctors practicing other kinds of medicine usually try to heal infected limbs (for example) rather than cut them off. The difference is that your average doctor treats the body as a living entity. Whereas dentists see teeth as inanimate objects. But teeth are alive too! Which means they can heal.
