Hello again fellowbeings,
I realized that I’d neglected to state, in my previous email, the name of my novel and what it’s about. It’s called Miracle Cave.
Here’s a synopsis:
Gale MacLeod would give anything to forget Granville Cabot, and what he did to her their senior year at Harvard. She’s shared the details only with her brother, Lichen—who’s vowed not to speak to her until she also shares the perpetrator’s name.
He’s kept his vow for twenty-six years. And she’s kept her silence.
But then Granville receives the Republicrat nomination for the Presidency, and Gale’s boss at Whipper Orwell Admissions Consulting orders her to edit Granville’s son’s college application essay. She’s all set to refuse, when she realizes—with the help of a mysterious medicine called Mindcelium—that she could use the assignment to anonymously blow holes in Granville’s campaign.
Her plan succeeds; she sets off a media hurricane. However, she fails to predict that Lichen, watching from afar, will intuit who’s behind the storm—and get his precious name.
Both siblings want revenge on Granville. But Lichen’s wilder than Gale, and willing to take risks that she would never take. If she’s to stop him, she must join him—and confront her worst fear, face to face.
Also: you might be wondering how long your beta-reading will take.
9,000 words equals 30-40 manuscript pages, double-spaced. If you read a page a minute, you’ll need 30-40 minutes for reading, plus whatever time you choose to invest in conveying your thoughts. 5 to 10 minutes could be enough.
Please let me know by Monday, September 9 if you’re interested.

Thanks!
